Goongala's? Grumbles? What is this that I have stumbled upon whilst surfing the web? This, dear reader, is a blog about nothing... and everything... but mostly an amalgamation of words about video games, anime, and the geekiness of our modern culture. The title says "Grumbles", however, there probably won't be too much of that. I'm an easy man to appease, and I can let most games get away with a lot. Although, I might need to stop being so complacent and find some viable grumbles already!

I am known across the interwebs as
Goongala, and this blog shall be where I ramble off about various video games I've played, movies I've seen, anime I've watched, videos I've made, and so on and so forth. I write for the fun of it, and for the joy it may bring any readers who stumble across this, my very own blog. My imagination is vast, and so there are many stories to tell, many things to write about.
So you may still be wondering, "Where in the world did you come up with a name like Goongala?" Well, I do believe the answer to that lies in a hot, boring summer day long ago, watching cartoon reruns on the telly. We (my brother and I) were chilling out, waiting for something cool to happen when
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came on the tube. We sat there, our minds melting in our boredom, until I hear, "GOONGALA!" I suddenly start paying attention as Casey Jones, the TMNT's human, hockey-mask-wearing, side-kick-crime-fighter goes running down an alley and waving a hockey stick around in the air. He proceeds to beat the living daylights out of some mooks, and saves the girl... and that's where my short attention span gave out. I sat there thinking, "Goongala... that's pretty cool."

A few years later, I was introduced to the epicness of
Halo, and the legendary multiplayer that existed within it. We had to create a character to begin playing, and when it came time to choose a gamertag, I could think of only one thing:
Goongala. And so Goongala was born out of the necessity for a gamertag. I've used it ever since then, and I'll probably use it as long as I am a gamer. Basically, forever. FOR-E-VER.

As for who I am, I am a 100%, Grade 'A' Geek, hopeless Otaku-san, certifiable Grammar Nazi, and Video Gamer Semi-extraordinaire. I like Sci-Fi, playing video games, anime, watching movies, killing zombies, writing, and many other 'Geeky' hobbies. As for 'non-geeky' hobbies, well... eating takes the cake (Ha! See what I did there? Huh? Did ya?). Now 'Goongala' is obviously not my real name, but I know better than to use "Brad" on the Interwebs. Oh bother. Well, too late now... but you can call me Goongala.
