The Xbox One and Negativity

So, a few days ago Microsoft released the good news that they've reversed the 24 hour DRM requirement and the no loaning/sharing/selling policies. And surprise, surprise: some people are still unhappy.

I don't know what I expected...
As I've said before, no matter what Microsoft says, someone will find a way to make it negative. Some are calling Microsoft "pathetic" for caving in. They're calling it the "Xbox One-Eighty". Some are going all-out conspiracy theorist, saying that Microsoft is changing now and will change back once the console is out and they have everyone's money. As someone said on a forum I frequent:
"They showed us their [Microsoft] true face , and they can still turn around their policies whenever they want. Whether it's the Xbox One or Xbox One-Eighty, I'm still not buying it."
Microsoft ruined their image. Because of how badly they botched the initial reveal (and many subsequent reveals), anything and everything they say will inevitably be given a negative spin. Even if the things they are saying are good things. The removal of the 24 hour DRM and the sharing restrictions is a good thing, and has repaired, even if only a little, Microsoft's reputation with the gaming community and especially their core consumer base (a.k.a. "fanboys"). However, I do agree that they have a long way to go before they earn our trust back.
